Assalamu Alaykum,

Three weeks have passed since Br Ferhan stepped down as Head of Finance, and I was elected to the position at National Council, so I haven't much to talk about - yet.

Having been London Treasurer since August, and heavily involved with the office and the projects it plays a role in for over two years, my new responsibilities are mostly taking things to the next level. Nevertheless the past weeks have consisted of training, meetings, and examination of the organisation's current financial state as well as past partnership agreements.

My most important aim is to continue Br Ferhan's work to ensure FOSIS is debt-free by the end of this year, insha'allah. I also aim to transform the treasury into a team rather than an individual; by building up and involving the newly formed Finance Committee.

Other priorities include the Pound Pledge, FOSIS Shop and involving FOSIS Alumni, as well as improving communication between the treasury and various FOSIS committees.

I would like to thank Br Ferhan for his hard work over the past year and a half, may Allah accept his efforts, and grant him success in this life and the hereafter.
