Assalamu Alaykum,

All praise is due to Allah SWT, the creator, and the sustainer, and our prayers and salutations on the best of his creation, Muhammad SAW.

Alhamdulilah, it is amazing to still be part of this great organisation. The dedication of the various individuals and committees serves only to boost ones morale and increase determination to perform at the best of ones ability.

As always, my blogs come down to the issue of finances, where alhamdulilah much progress is being made in various paths along the rocky terrain.

The first piece of good news is that alhamdulilah, due to the  hard work of Br Rehan and the Brothers and Sisters in the Midlands and Birmingham specifically, the FAC this year has been a great success, especially from the financial side, giving us the means to pay back some of the debts we have as an organisation.

Alhamdulilah the Freshers’ pack’s project is looking positive, myself and Br Rashid have met many potential sponsors over the past few weeks and there are many more that are interested, however I would like to ask of everyone to do their utmost to help in this project. This is currently FOSIS’s biggest project budget-wise and many would argue that it is the most important of our projects, your help is therefore needed to ensure that this project returns a healthy profit and not a debt, as that would reflect on many other projects and events during the year.

Much work has also been done with Sr Amal (Head of Communications) and Sr’s Abida and Rayan (Training and HR) to unify the process of project submission, so that rather than filling out 3 separate forms, you only need to fill out one to propose a project!

I would like to conclude with a request to all those who are interested to come forward and become part of our first National Finance Committee, as this year the committee will include individuals like yourself as well as the regional treasures to take charge of the Finance Committee’s many projects.
