IAC Blog - February 2007

Asalaamu Walakum

As this is the first Blog from Islam Awareness Committee we thought that it would be good to make it slightly detailed and give a sum up of what we have been up to. Alhumdulillah the IAC has been running smoothly for about 1 year and a half and it has been active in trying to understand what Muslims students need and supporting them with appropriate services. If you want to know what we have been up to from Summer of 2005 – 2006 please click here.

Other activities we have been involved in since September 2007 till present:

Coordination
Around 40 ISocs took part in One Day National Fast 2007 and managed to collect over £30, 000 for various charities. One Day National Fast has already been setup and we will be having our first meeting on 21st February in Nottingham. Please email us at iac@fosis.org.uk if you would like to help out this year.

Resources
