Midlands Blog - July 2009

Assalamulaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I begin in the name of Allah (swt) the most beneficent, the most merciful.

FOSIS Midlands had a very successful year last year, hosting a number of speaker tours as well as the FOSIS annual conference. 

This new academic year brings a brand new committee, with fresh zeal and ideas to serve the  ISOCs in the Midlands region, with a focus to ensure the work done last year is not forgotten but built upon. 

Like the FOSIS slogan “to serve, represent and unite the Muslim students”, we propose to do exactly that inshAllah.  Serving by providing activities and services that each ISOC would like.  Representing by ensuring ISOCs are given the support needed to achieve success on the student political front.  Finally, uniting by providing activities that not only strengthen the relationship between members within an ISOC but also to strengthen the bond between the brothers and sisters in other ISOCs.
