North Chair- March & April

ISOC 101

Isoc 101 was held at the University of Leeds on the first weekend of March. It was a full weekend programme of training done by Zahid and Rashid. Saturday had a good turnout however Sundays was smaller. All in all I think that the weekend was a great success. I just hope that next years committee are able to have it a lot earlier in the academic year so that it can have the maximum beneficial impact for isocs.

AGM

Regrettably the AGM which was set to happen in Sheffield had to be postponed on the day. Isocs had been contacted but prior to the AGM and on the actual day itself many were unable to attend due to a variety of different reasons. But on a much brighter note the north committee have finally appreciated that Sheffield is a very beautiful city. Alhamdulillah. The AGM has now bee organised for the 9th May at the University of Leeds. Hope to see you there inshallah. Come and hold us to account and to elect the best possible committee for next year.

Unfortunately I had limited internet and phone access for most of March and therefore I feel that the work of the committee really slowed down and struggled. Inshallah plans have been in place to try and deal with such issues from recurring.
