Alsalaam Alaikum

At the forthcoming FOSIS Annual Conference I will be coordinating a FOSIS Careers Day on Friday, 22 June, 2007. There will be three main elements to the Careers project:

1- Stalls area for Muslim Professionals held 12-6pm
Muslim Professionals (i.e. YOU!) are invited to have their own stall area in order for students to approach them with their burning questions of how to enter the respected sector, required qualifications and experience, etc.

2- Seminars (40 mins each) held 4-6pm
There will be three seminars held which will be delivered by the invited Muslim professionals. The seminars will cover the following topics:

How to choose a career path that is best for you?
Tips on how to apply for a job? (how to write a CV/cover letter, complete an application form, what employers are looking for)
Assessment centres and Interviews
3- Career Advice booklet covering all the information within the seminars
if you know someone who can take part in the workshops or contribute towards the seminar it would be great to hear from you.
