Bismillahir Rahman Al Raheem

I’d like to start in the name of Allah (SWT), by praising Allah (SWT) and Thanking Allah (SWT), for giving us the opportunity to work for his sake, and to work for our ummah. It is truly a great pleasure and honour, but also a great responsibility upon us. May Allah (SWT) keep us guided in his work, and in all we do for his sake, make it easy for us and open up doors to grow insha’Allah.

Alhamdulillah and Masha’Allah in Wales we have a strong committee with a lot of new qualities and skills, from day one the  fresh blood wanted to get stuck in with ideas and plans flying all over the place. Alhamdulillah we have reviewed our aims and objectives for the year, formulated a year plan of events, projects and campaigns as well as a strategy of improving communication and resources to ISocs; Currently compiling documents and proposals of the plans.

We are currently updating the different mailing lists in order to improve communication between the ISocs, and between FOSIS and the ISocs, so please- everyone- make sure your on the correct mailing list! Different training packages are also being compiled for the ISocs, so as the relevant training can be delivered the relevant ISocs. Plans have begun for regional speaker tours and different events, which we would like to keep as a surprise until further confirmation insha’Allah.

The new FOSIS Community Project is soon to be kicked off in Wales, if your interested please keep an eye out for more information. Several meetings have taken place for Charity week as well, more information will soon be out, if you would like anymore info on either project, please contact our Campaigns officer, Sr. Zara Kadir at communityprojectwales@fosis.org.uk .

During the month the committee has come together and have been trained in their positions so that they are aware and feel more competent in the work they do, also they have developed as a team ready to work together insha’Allah. Alhamdulillah we have come to realise the great responsibility set on our shoulders subhana’Allah.
