Head of Campaigns - Feb-March 2011

Assalamu Alaikum,

Pray this message finds you all in the best of health and Iman.

The past few months have been very interesting for the Campaigns committee on a local and an international level.

Locally: The campaigns committee has been working alongside with the NEC on developing a structure for the charity week project in order to maximise the effectiveness of the project and to help ISocs make the most out of this great project.

Furthermore, we are now finalising the publicity for the FOSIS Community Project which Insha’Allah will be launched this academic year. The aim is for this project to be one of the biggest events on any ISoc’s annual calendar insha’Allah. Brother Furqan Na’eem is taking the lead on this project and will insha’Allah be contacting all the different committees within fosis once the project is launched.

On an international level, the Libya Campaign has gone out to Islamic Societies and Alhamdulillah ISocs have been organising Friday collections to support our brothers and sisters who are fighting for their freedom in Libya, may Allah grant them success in these difficult times insha’Allah.

We will be holding a FOSIS Palestine Stall at the NUS Conference insha’Allah in April, so we’re looking for ideas and input from everybody, please feel free to chip-in if you had any ideas that you thought may be effective insha’Allah.

We should always remember that all the work we do must be done in the best of intentions and must always renew our intentions for the sake of Allah.

wsalaam
