Cholera. Typhoid Fever. Leptospirosis. These are just some of the diseases threatening the survivors in the aftermath of the worst disaster in Pakistan's history.   Thousands have already perished, but the sad reality is that the deathtoll will continue to rise if diseases continue to spread throughout the region.

Important Information

  • Dr. Faisal Hanjra is a GMC registered medical practitioner and former president of FOSIS,  he travels to Pakistan on Sunday 12th September 2010 and joins a team of doctors on a week-long effort dedicated to treating those affected by the floods.
  • Nowshera is  one of the worst-affected areas, the team intend to work within a medical relief clinic where affected individuals can be seen by healthcare professionals and receive suitable medication inshAllah.
  • The team are working on a completely voluntary basis, however all of the medication will need to be purchased upon arrival in Pakistan and this is where we request your help.
  • Rest-assured:  100% of the donations will be used towards purchasing medication;  all other costs are covered by the doctors themselves.
  • Quality: All medication is approved by the World Health Organisation.
  • Transparency: All receipts and documentation will be available for viewing on the FOSIS website upon return of Dr. Hanjra
  • Updates: Dr. Hanjra will be providing daily updates of the work via the FOSIS website (www.fosis.org.uk), and taking photographs and videos of the work being done.
  • Zakat & Sadaqah accepted. (Not Zakat al-Fitr)
