The FOSIS National Student Qira'at Competition (NSQC) aims to get students closer to the Qur'an, its meaning and its stories. It hopes to promote the creation and development of Hifz and Tajweed classes at Islamic Societies across the UK & Ireland.

This is an opportunity to spend more time reciting, understanding and learning the greatest book on Earth. We encourage all ISocs to pass on this message to their students and all students are requested to inform their ISoc Presidents about the competition inshaAllah!

This competition is open to any student from any university within the UK and Ireland. The competition is open for both brothers and sisters.

COMPETITIONS
--------------
1. Tajweed (no memorisation, just recitation): choose 3 Surah’s.
2. Hifz (Memorisation): Half of Juz Amma; (Surat al-Naas to Surat al-a3laa).
3. Hifz (Memorisation): Half of Surat Al-Baqara.
4. Hifz (Memorisation): either 1st, middle or Last Quarter of the Quran;
(1:1 to 3:132) or (51:1 to 114:6) or (36:1 to 50:45).
