Pakistan Flood Appeal

From Friday, 20 August 2010
To Saturday, 11 September 2010
Assalamualaikum wr wbt,

"What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of human beings, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the sufferings of the injured." (Bukhari)

This hadith could never be more relevant with the current floods crisis ravaging the people of Pakistan at this time. Only $3.20 has been committed per flood affected person even though the Pakistan Floods are the greatest humanitarian crisis in recent history according to the UN, with more people affected than Haiti and the Tsunami combined. So the question arises….

3. CHANGE YOUR PROFILE PICTURE:

A picture speaks a thousand words and nothing homes in the need for aid more than a vision of the harsh reality that the Pakistanis face.  Change your profile picture to the poster attached!

4)MAIL ALL YOUR CONTACTS IN IRELAND REGARDING THIS ISSUE

Some of our friends out there do not have the slightest idea what is happening to our brothers and sisters in Pakistan, so, it is OUR responsibility in telling them regarding this matter, inshaAllah...

May Allah Repay all your efforts, nothing is considered too small even though by changing your FB statuses, and may this Ramadhan be much better than the past Ramadhans, inshaAllah :)

InshaAllah this month, being Ramadan, proves to be a spiritually fruitful one, renewing the principles of total submission as well as sincere brotherhood.

"Satan always threatens you with the prospect of poverty (when you spend some of your wealth for charity), and orders you to commit indecent acts (such as being greedy and miserly), whereas Allah promises you His Forgiveness and Generous Bounty. Surely Allah is All- Embracing (in His Grace and Bounty), All- Knowing."
(Al Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah:268).
