Only 24% Muslims have a degree qualification or above [Census, 2011]

With over 300,000 Muslim students in higher education, there are becoming increasing challenges & barriers to allowing Muslims to get the best education experience in the UK. This has also presented problems for muslim students participating in public life.

These challenges include getting to University; interest based loans have meant Muslims are discouraged or even prevented from a accessing University due to conflict in faith.

The increase occurrence of Islamophobia on Campus is causing the marginalization of Muslim Students. The PREVENT agenda has led to securitization of University Campus with disproportionate effect on Muslim students and Islamic societies.

FOSIS are seeking to rectify and improve Muslim student experience by providing a submission to Government on making these necessary change happen.
